Sunday is market day, with the bustling Rastro flea market, the weekly book fair or the stamp market in Plaza Mayor

Wining and Dining
The spanish like to eat out so there are plenty of restaurants for all tastes and budgets. If, in the local fashion, you choose to dine late, you could keep going with a visit to one of the many tapas bars. Sip a drink in Plaza Mayor or lose yourself in the web of streets between there and Plaza Isabel II. The nightlife is hectic and keeps going 'til dawn.
